Florence by Cy DeCosse is dedicated to the city of Florence and to the friends, artists and artisans that make this city a beacon of art and culture.
For over fifty years Florence has been a muse to me. I first arrived in Florence as a Fulbright student in 1954. I began my study of photography at the Institute of Art at Porta Romana with Maestro Renzo Maggini.
From him I learned principles that still guide my work today. Since my student days, I have returned again and again to this city of art to draw inspiration from the creativity and craftmanship which is everywhere in Florence.
