“Wired”: A Creative Exercise

My mother told me that when I was a toddler and she had to leave me alone for a few minutes, she would give me a bag of clothespins to play with. She knew that would keep me busy for hours. In my imagination they were people, soldiers, armies and clipped together they became airplanes and rocket ships to the moon. It was food for my imagination.

So recently, while walking down an alley, I found a rusty bent up piece of construction wire. (See photo) It was so interesting, I had to take it back to the studio to see what I could make of it. The result is a portfolio I call “Wired”. The same single strand of wire was used for all the photographs.
